This is an exciting and rare opportunity — don’t miss it!
As the winning bidder, you will collect a share of sound recording royalties – totaling $200,000 – derived from the Estate of Jerry Garcia’s interest in the Grateful Dead studio and live albums recorded between 1968 and 1995.
HOW THIS INVESTMENT WORKS
This asset offers investors the right to collect four yearly payments of $50,000, for a total fixed amount of $200,000 (“Total Return”). These payments will be calculated and paid in July of each year.
A portion of the proceeds from this auction will support the production of the next archival music release project produced by Jerry Garcia Music Arts. Jerry Garcia Music Arts is an environmentally conscious, mission-based, music and arts entertainment services company.
WHAT IS BEING SOLD?
The right to receive $200,000, payable over four yearly payments of $50,000, from the seller’s interest in the Estate of Jerry Garcia’s sound recording royalty payments paid by Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman (administering for Grateful Dead Productions, Inc.).
HOW DO PAYMENTS WORK?
The $50,000 annual payments due to the investor represent approximately half of the seller’s expected yearly earnings over the next four years. The investor will be entitled to the first $50,000 of each annual payment (“Yearly Repayment”), with the remainder going to the seller.
If the total earnings in any calendar year do not reach $50,000, the following year's Yearly Repayment shall be increased by the shortfall in the prior year's Yearly Repayment. Royalty Exchange will collect and distribute the annual payments to the investor until the investor collects $200,000.
After the Total Return has been received, all rights to the payments will revert back to the seller.
