This asset features royalties from two different catalogs of Christian music with both traditional worship and popular gospel songs. It also earns from a variety of income sources spanning from direct licensing to churches, physical sales, streaming and even print. Over the last four quarters, both catalogs generated $2,899 in earnings.
The first of the catalogs included in this sale features the worship medley “Bow Down.” This collection is published by Integrity Music with “Bow Down” as the anchor accounting for 98% of earnings to date. The largest income source (58%) in the last 12 months for “Bow Down” is mechanical royalties -- which are paid to the songwriter when music is either sold physically (CDs), downloaded from iTunes or streamed on Spotify (streaming mechanical).
Interestingly, the majority (71%) of the mechanical royalties for “Bow Down” come from physical sales. You’ll notice a significant spike in earnings in Q4 2017. “Bow Down” was recently recorded and released by modern Gospel artist William Murphy on his album Demonstrate. Since this auction is for the songwriter's share, you will collect royalties from the musical composition of “Bow Down” anytime someone records and releases the song.
Also included in this sale is a second catalog containing 19 titles and managed by Fun Attic. “Unrestrained” is the foundation of this collection, bringing in 62% of royalties over the last year. The song has been recorded by numerous Christian artists such as Myron Butler & Levi, Mandisa, and Jeremy Camp. The majority of the income for “Unrestrained” comes from the various artists’ albums it’s been released on.
“Song of Glory” is another featured title in the Fun Attic catalog which brings in 34% of its income to date. The song is featured on an inspirational gospel compilation album produced by Prism Music, which accounts for the majority of its income.
This asset earns income from five different royalty streams. This means the winner of this auction can receive income in multiple ways:
Mechanical: Royalties paid to publishers when music is sold (like digital downloads), and also when music is streamed on-demand, like on Spotify (streaming mechanicals).
Performance: Royalties paid when music is performed publicly. Music played over the radio, in a restaurant or bar, or over a service like Spotify or Pandora is considered a public performance.
Synchronization: Royalties paid to publishers for use of music in a movie, TV show, or commercial.
Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI): sells direct licenses to churches to streamline copyright issues for various religious works.
Print: Royalties paid when music is transcribed into print, like sheet music, and then distributed.
What is being sold?
100% of the seller's interest in all publishing royalties attributable to the select musical compositions in Seller's catalog of works. See the “Financials” tab for a full tracklist.
How does this asset make money?
Every time “Bow Down” or “Unrestrained” is downloaded or sold, streamed online or licensed by a church, you'll earn money. Integrity Music and Fun Attic make payments quarterly and the first distribution you will receive is in March from Fun Attic and May 2018 from Integrity Music.
