Description

Place a bid on this unique catalog with global appeal! Up for bid are public performance royalties generated by an established collection of music from some of the hottest EDM/house artists: David Guetta, Skrillex, and more.

Thanks to its international appeal, this catalog earns from a total of 67 countries across the globe. In the last 12 months, 69% of revenue came from international sources, which includes radio, streaming, and TV/Film.

The catalog’s highest-earning title is French DJ David Guetta and Kaz James’ “Blast Off.” Released in 2014, David Guetta's Lovers on the Sun EP. “Blast Off” went on to be included on the 2015 re-release of Guetta's sixth studio album, Listen Again as a bonus track. The song also charted well in France, hitting No. 33 on SNEP.

“Blast Off” was featured in 2015’s massively popular action film Furious 7. The song is also included on the film’s motion picture soundtrack. This means every time Furious 7 airs on TV or is streamed on demand, you’ll earn public performance royalties for “Blast Off.”

Another notable title in this collection is “Scatta” from American DJ Skrillex featuring Foreign Beggars and Bare Noize. The 2010 release brought in 9% of the catalog’s historic income. Not to be overlooked is “Choosing For You” from Dutch/English collaboration group I Am Legion, which accounts for 11% of income in the last year.

Key Drivers

Dollar Age This collection of songs has a Dollar Age of approximately 6.8 years. This means the majority of royalties earned in the last 12 months comes from songs that have generated royalties for about nearly seven years. A high Dollar Age like this suggests stability and longevity. This can help sustain a catalog's earnings moving forward.

Diversity in Song Income Mix. Revenues are also widely distributed — the single highest-earning song “Blast Off” — only accounts for 26% of historic income. This means the catalog’s earnings are not tied to the success of a single track and provides built-in diversification.

EDM and International Income. According to the 2018 IMS Business Report, Electonic Dance Music (EDM) sees most of its fan base overseas in Australia, the United Kingdom, and Germany. In the last 12 months, the majority of the collection’s earnings have come from outside the United Kingdom.
