This pop catalog features 28 tracks with earnings from 50+ countries around the globe. In the last four quarters, this collection of music generated $10,083.

In addition to its international appeal, this catalog boasts both a variety of artists and a mix of new and older releases. The highest-earning single in the last year is “Freaky Like Me” from Norwegian duo Madcon featuring Ameerah — bringing in 32% of the catalog’s income. Released in 2010, the song hit No. 1 and quadruple-Platinum in Norway, as well as Gold in Germany and charted in eight other countries.

To date, the title “Black Out” performed by Australian pop vocalist Bonnie Anderson is the top-earning single, with 21% of royalties. “Black Out” was released in 2014 and is certified-Platinum in Australia. A newer release in the catalog is “Enough” from fellow Aussie Delta Goodrem. Delta has a massive Australian following and is a multi-Platinum selling artist. The 2016 single brought in 22% of income in the last 12 months.

Other notable tracks in this offering are 2014’s “Shadow” from American pop singer Austin Mahone, “Dancing In The Dark” from German electronic artist Schiller, 2016’s “Supergirl” from Latin vocalist Alex Hoyer, "Be My Lover" from Romanian pop star INNA, and Australian singer Elen Levon’s “Wild Child.” Finally, also included is the title “Neon” from British R&B crooner Jay Sean, which was featured in a Monster DNA headphones campaign in 2014.

Key Drivers

Diversity in Song Age & Artists. This catalog contains music with release dates spanning seven years. This provides a diverse income mix between new(er) releases and more mature works. Industry-wide, Catalog Music (music released more than 18 months ago) and “Deep Catalog” (music released more than 3 years ago) together represent over 60% of music streamed today.

Looking at the highest earning tracks in the last four quarters, “Freaky Like Me” was released in 2010 — followed by a newer release from “Enough” by Delta Goodrum from 2016. This diversity can help sustain a catalog's earnings moving forward. Revenues are widely distributed amongst songs within the catalog. No single song makes up a significantly large portion of earnings. For example, the top three-earning songs collectively only account for 52% of historic income. This means you aren't tied to the success of a single song.

International Income. The majority of this catalog’s earnings come from abroad — 94% of historic earnings come from outside the United States. You'll notice an increase earnings for this catalog in Q1 2017. This spike came from performances in Germany and Norway, paid out by the collection societies (or PRO) GEMA and TONO, respectively to ASCAP.

Distribution of international royalties can take time to calculate and distribute. These payments are then distributed by ASCAP to its members for these foreign performances. This means they are typically disbursed without a regular schedule and can be reported with limited detail. It's important to take into consideration that as the winner of this auction, you'll be entitled to any royalties paid out by ASCAP going forward, including all foreign royalties for past performances

What is being sold?
