Description

This auction offers public performance royalties generated by a catalog of music from a Grammy-nominated producer. Over the last four quarters, this collection of songs brought in $8,349.

The highlighted placement in this catalog is music used in three separate episodes of the Emmy-winning series Modern Family. What’s exciting is that Modern Family is currently airing in syndication on both USA Network and local Fox Television Stations. The series is also shown on Sky One in the United Kingdom. That means anytime an episode airs with music from this catalog, you’ll collect the royalties generated from the music.

This catalog also features music performed by an artist/group. Of note is the title  “One of Us” from Danish alternative rock band New Politics. The single was released in June of 2017 on their fourth studio album Lost in Translation. “One of Us” hit No. 10 on the Billboard Alternative Songs as well as No. 40 on Hot Rock Songs. Also included is another newer release “Heart Won’t Beat” from EDM artist Gazzo.

Key Drivers

TV Placements. 63% of this catalog's income comes from TV & film. These high-profile placements in Modern Family could continue to earn royalties as the show is airing widely in syndication. Every time a movie or TV show that uses one of these songs is streamed or airs on TV, you will collect money.

Commercial Artists. This catalog also generates revenue from radio and streaming, thanks to commercial music from New Politics and Gazzo. Radio accounts for 25% of historic income. Typically, tracks that experience radio play can build a foundation for other types of income. So as the radio royalties begin to slow down, other income sources (like streaming) could increase.

What is being sold?

100% of the seller's interest in the songwriter's share of public performance royalties attributable to select musical works in the seller's catalog of songs administered by ASCAP. See the “Financials” tab for a full track list.

How does this asset make money?

Every time a network airs a television show that uses any of the songs in this catalog, a public performance royalty is generated. This means every time Modern Family or any other show, uses a music from this catalog and airs on TV, you will earn money.

Royalty Exchange will administer quarterly payments from ASCAP. The next distribution is set for May 2018 to be paid to you by Royalty Exchange in June 2018.

Unless the buyer opts out of the opportunity, this listing will automatically be relisted as a "Buy It Now" sale at a premium over the closing price. The relisted asset will remain live until it is purchased, or until its first royalty distribution. This gives the winning bidder the chance to earn an immediate return on the asset while awaiting the first royalty payment.
