Description

Here is the chance to collect both songwriter and publisher royalties from a catalog that includes the hit #1 song, “Lotus Flower Bomb” by Wale feat Miguel. In the last 12 months, this catalog generated $27,552 in royalties.

We previously auctioned off record label royalties for “Lotus Flower Bomb,” (you can view that auction here) and now you have the opportunity to collect public performance, mechanical, and sync royalties from “Lotus Flower Bomb” as well as other songs in the seller's BMI and Universal catalogs.

The main earner in this catalog is “Lotus Flower Bomb” which hit #1 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs in late 2011 and was nominated for Best Rap Song at the 55th Grammy Awards. The song was released in 2011 as the lead single from Wale's second studio album Ambition and the single reached platinum status, meaning over 1 million copies were sold. Today, Wale has over 4.2 million listeners on Spotify and “Lotus Flower Bomb” is his third-most played song with over 31 million streams. The song's YouTube video has been viewed over 29 million times.

BMI and Universal will distribute the royalties to the winner of this auction. BMI distributes royalties quarterly and the next distribution is in March 2017. Universal pays out biannually with the next distribution in April 2017.
