Description

We're now accepting bids for 75% of the writer's share of public performance royalties generated from this catalog of production music. What's exciting is there are confirmed placements in TV shows and broadcasts that have aired, but have yet to pay out. Over the last 12 months, this asset has earned $7,183.

Music in this catalog is featured in numerous reality TV series, sports broadcasts, beauty pageants, news magazine programs and more. The highest earning show is Bravo's Shahs of Sunset, bringing in 29% of the catalog's historic earnings. There are 49 songs from this catalog placed in episodes spanning from Season 3 to Season 5. You'll notice a spike in earnings in Q2 2016, as a result of songs being used in each of the 19 episodes of Season 5 of the series.

This catalog also boasts placements that have recently aired but have not paid out yet. The first being HBO's Silicon Valley, with songs from this catalog appearing in two episodes of Season 4, which premiered over the summer. The second is from the 2017 TCS New York City Marathon broadcast. There are various tracks used in this year's broadcast of the race that occurred on November 5th. This means if you're the winning bidder, you will receive the first royalties.

Other notable placements include the TV broadcast of the 2017 Miss USA Pageant, CSI: Cyber, Showtime's documentary Mayweather, History's Pawn Stars, and E! News, among others.

Production music is a vital part of the TV and radio industry. It's used in the background or for transitions during shows and commercials etc. The industry demand for this type of music is increasing, as global TV production overall has doubled in the past six years. Key Drivers

You'll notice over the last 12 months, the music from this catalog has experienced a significant increase in earnings. The reason behind this is two-fold.

There are several one-time items in the most recent 12-month period. These placements include the broadcasts for 2017 Miss USA Pageant and the 2016 TCS New York City Marathon. Between the two sources, they account for 25% of the last 12 months' earnings.

Secondly, the music has been licensed to a production library managed by Zero Point Productions. Zero Point Productions (ZPP) is a full service music production company, that composes main title themes, original scores, and custom music for TV. Whenever production groups need music, they'll go to a library, like Zero Point Productions, to acquire music to use in the TV programs. As the winner of this auction, you will benefit from these songs being part of this production house library. If music from this catalog is used in future series/shows, you will earn royalties without having to shop the works yourself.

What is being sold?

75% of sellers' interest in the songwriter's shares of public performance royalties attributable to select songs administered by SESAC. See the “Documents” tab for a full track list.

How does this asset make money?

Every time a network airs a TV show that uses any of the songs in this catalog, a public performance royalty is generated. This means every time Shahs of Sunset or any other show, uses music from this catalog and airs on TV, you will earn money. SESAC makes payments quarterly and the first distribution you will receive is December 2017.
