Description
Bid to collect public performance royalties from a catalog featuring music from popular R&B artist Keke Wyatt.
Streaming is the foundation of this collection with 81% of royalties in the last 12 months. What’s more is these earnings are also seeing notable growth — up 54% in the last year compared to the previous time period.
The catalog’s highest-earning track is the 2014 release “Fall In Love” off Keke Wyatt’s debut EP Ke'Ke'. Bringing in 60% of earnings in the last year, “Fall In Love” peaked at No. 17 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. The song is also demonstrating a healthy 3% year-over-year growth rate.
Other top-contributing titles in this collection are all off Keke’s 2016 album Rated Love. The singles “Sexy Song,” “Love Me,” and “Jodeci” bring in 31% of earnings in the last 12 months.
Key Drivers
Song Age & Streaming. Industrywide, “Deep Catalog” (music released more than 3 years ago) represents 50% of music streamed today. Impressively, this collection of songs aligns with this trend. The highest-earning track in the catalog — “Fall In Love” — was released nearly five years ago. And yet, the song is actually experiencing growth in its royalties. No to mention this offering earns primarily from streaming platforms (54% in the last year). A catalog containing more mature works that are streaming-driven is something is worth noting as an investor.
Touring. Keke Wyatt has tour dates through February 2019. Tours give artists the chance to solidify their current fan base and expand their reach to new listeners.
