Description

This auction features public performance royalties for the hit single “Just Can't Get Enough” from the Grammy award-winning group, The Black Eyed Peas. The triple-Platinum certified song earned $1,235 during the last 12 months.

“Just Can't Get Enough” is the second single off the group's sixth studio album The Beginning. Released in 2011, the song topped global charts and cracked the Top 5 in many countries such as New Zealand, Australia, Greece, France and the United Kingdom among others. In the U.S., “Just Can't Get Enough” reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, No. 2 on Mainstream Top 40 and No. 11 on Adult Top 40. Six years after its release, “Just Can't Get Enough” has over 72 million listens on Spotify and the video has racked up 213 million streams on YouTube.

Formed in 1995, The Black Eyed Peas originally began as an alternative hip hop group. They ultimately changed their musical style and morphed into one of the most commercially successful pop groups of the 2000s. As of today, The Black Eyed Peas have released six studio albums (three Platinum-certified) and sold approximately 32.5 million albums and 31 million singles worldwide. The group also has collected six Grammys, two Billboard Music Awards and eight American Music Awards to date.

Key Drivers

The Black Eyed Peas are one of the most massively successful acts of the last decade, and their popularity still resonates. The group recently performed with Ariana Grande at the “One Love Manchester” benefit concert, and in 2016 re-released a version of their debut hit “Where Is The Love” to raise money for educational programs and college scholarships.

Coming off a long hiatus, The Black Eyed Peas are currently working on a new project called Masters of the Sun — The Zombie Chronicles, which is both an album and an original graphic novel with Marvel Comics. The graphic novel is accepting pre-orders on Amazon prior to its August 8, 2017 release and the album is soon to follow. For an artist, a new album can help reinvigorate their back catalog, because the release of new music draws interest from first time listeners and also reengages existing fans.
